Wish to buy Toyota Fortuner and got a deal from one of the dealer in Delhi. Toyota fortuner 4x4 , 2011 model around 1 lakh km. Driven at a price of Rs. 11 lakh.

Car seems okay with no such issues. Have two queries
1, The price seems around 2 lakh higher,
2. Secondly if bought the car then which parts to be serviced OR replaced while servicing the car.

Need your expert advice
Thanks

Hello,

It needs to be taken in consideration that
> Toyota Fortuner 4x4 is one among the best reliable SUV known in Indian Market
> Even though its driven 1 Lakh Kms - but considering fact about Innova and Fortuner reliability - they can well complete on even another 1 Lakh Kms if was serviced periodically by the first owner and would now be serviced on time by new owner too

Important as prospective buyer is to
> Assess in service history - wear and tear items (Battery, Brake, Clutch etc), is serviced on time
> Get Car Inspected from Toyota Workshop (Suspension, AC and other work etc) - it do help to spend couple of thousand for peace of mind and knows any issues pre hand
> Also check in Tyre condition - when were last replaced

Last would be great if can negotiate in price to 10 Lakh or below to call it a good deal - provided all is good
One more - you should be aware of Diesel cars life in Delhi - which is 10 years - so the car just has 3 years to go - post which may sell in other cities.

Thanks for the expert advice. ....

Though took the vehicle to the service station for scanning and there came to know that the car has already completed 1.5 lakh km on the odo but reversed by the dealer. At service station the car doesn't have such major problem at yet and is being serviced at regular intervals at galaxy toyota. Service engineer also said that in the near future or say after another 10 thousand km. The steering column needs to be checked.

Now the only point is ....... does it okay to buy a car which has done 1.5 lakh or more km. Or to search another one.

Your advise really helps.

Thanks
