Resolved Cannot get into my Nissan Micra - both manually and with the electronic key fob. Help!

Hi,

I have a Nissan Micra 03 plate.

I went to get in this morning to drive to work and the key wouldn't unlock - I assumed the battery in my key fob may be dead so has this changed and still no response. Tried to open the car manually using the keyhole on the passenger side and still nothing. IT is almost as if the key doesn't fit properly it won't go all the way in and won't turn.

The battery on my car should not be dead, and I do not have a spare key.

Anyone any idea what this could be and what I need to do to sort it please?

Hello,

Is the issue resolved ?
Well - a key wont entering in even manually is slight a surprise
Also - even if the key is not recognized even after changing battery

then it seems an issue with car ignition system / immobilizer - due to which keys are not been recognized
Best to contact in the workshop or call up road side assistance to get it checked.
