If a car is purchased through CSD on what price the road tax is charged. The normal ex-showroom price or the CSD price.

Although Technically it makes more sense to apply road tax on CSD Price
But - as a practice - the road tax is been applied by RTO on Ex-showroom Price

So - say considering as an example in Delhi if the car ex-showroom is say 10.5 Lakh and CSD price is 9.5 Lakh then despite, tax slabs
> 7% (for petrol cars under 10 lakh)
> 10% (for petrol cars above 10 Lakh)

the tax will be applied at the rate of 10% on 10.5 Lakh - it almost means Rs 45000 higher tax been paid, against the scenario had 7% tax been paid on 9.5 Lakh. But, this is what the practice

Hope should help !!
