Hi,

1. I am planning to buy Dzire Vdi AMT. i have heard in long term use clutch get wear out soon and cost of repair in AMT is very high.Is it true?

2. Will i get a good performance from car if i permanently drive it in manual mode ?
reason for buying AMT is some medical issue with my left leg...i am comfortable in changing gears but not for pressing clutch.

3 What is avg life of AMT clutch ?

Hello,

Pl find comments
1.3. Its not that - the clutch will fail in 100%
When AMT Auto Gear Shift cars were launched - it was presumed that been there is no manual clutch pedal been pressed by driver - rather the actuators will change it, Thus the clutch might not be asked to replaced in or will get extended life
But reality is - clutch issue is been faced in AMT and not only with Maruti with even with other manufacturers and the same is to be replaced in
Can share you indicative cost of clutch assembly including pressure plate, flywheel and release bearing with labor in diesel cars at just rs 12000

2. If you have medical issue, suggest to await for Honda Amaze which is likely coming up in CVT Automatic Diesel
CVT Transmission is much more superior, refined as against AMT Auto Gear Shift in refinement, handling and technological advancement

Should help !!

Been AMT Cars were launched in just 4 years back with Celerio and technology in last 2 years expanded to most of other cars
Not much data - some owners still gong on without changing clutch, while some have faced issue.

However as mentioned earlier - it was presumed that due to no manual clutch been pressed - there was a myth been build in initial days of AMT Cars that no clutch assembly would be required replacement, but it was just an incorrect hype created.
