Hi, I have 2009 Hyundai i10, 41k km done. Whenever I give for service, the bill comes around 7-9k. I give every 6 months for service. I complete around 1500 to 2000 km in 6 months. My question is do I need to service my car every 6 months? Can I do annual service? I clock max 3500 km per year. Please advise. Thanks

Hello,

I am unsure of what service interval used to be in 9 year Old I10
To the best of our info - Hyundai is following 12 month / 10K Kms Service Interval since 2011

You may check owner manual for same
Also - in cars having bi-annual service, most of OEM recommend Oil and Filter change
If in case you find service costs higher - may only approach in Hyundai Workshop / After market workshop for Engine Oil and filter change (tell workshop that you looking for only oil and filter change and not complete servicing) and do complete servicing at the end of year. This will be very reasonable with cost to be around rs 1500 for bi-annual oil and filter change.

Hope should help !!
