The service costs will never be higher provided
> One read in Owner Manual and follow in recommended Service Schedule of Manufacturer
> Avail Extended warranty and also pick Zero depreciation Insurance for peace of mind ownership
> Does drive car by following basics - like Idling in Turbocharged Engine, avoid using clutch as rest pedal and follow in tyre

With Hyundai India recommending
> No Coolant Change for 10 Years
> No Brake Fluid, No Gear Oil change
Only one can do top up of above fluids
> Also Timing Belt replacement at once at 80K Kms

Most of the services will be
> Engine Oil Oil Filter change, Cabin AC Filter, Aligment & Balancing, Hyundai Care Plus consumables - every 10K Kms
> Air Filter, Fuel Filter, Cabin AC Filter - every 20K Kms

refer details - Hyundai I20 Service Cost

Of all above - one can go for Alignment and Balancing at reputed tyre shop because charges at Hyundai workshop are almost double at rs 1200 - 1300 as against the charges at a tyre shop which charges around rs 600 - 650 for same.

You can be assured that overall service costs will not be much higher
But for owners who fall in trap of dealer service person for
> Anti Rust coating
> Paint protection
> Additives with Engine Oil in initial 40K - 50K Kms
> AC Disinfectant
> Brake Pad cleaning
> Foam, Interior enrichment etc

will end up with higher

So - advised to follow in owner manual and avoid in unnecessary add on as asked by workshop
You can also seek in periodic recommendation before service to ensure that your service costs are under control

Hope should help
