Please help me shortlisting keeping in view low cost of ownership over long term of view.

Basis the choices referred, ownership costs are lower as per below order :-

- Grand I10
- Amaze Petrol
- Amaze Diesel & Chevy Sail Sail Diesel

Please make me understand if service frequency is 6 month or 10000K.M ,say,and if my run is say 2000km over 6 month period ,will the service cost will be same irrespective of running or service can be get delayed till 10 000km.

Well - if you are driving only 2000 kms in 6 mo - you may extend the service interval at the best in between to 10 - 12 months - but ideally not beyond as Engine Oil, Oil Filter has a life cycle and holding it beyond a point will impact the performance, output and life cycle of parts too

Note:- Driving a car regularly and maintaining Regular Service Schedule will help in optimizing the Engine, battery, flow of Oil and let mechanical of the car works for longer life cycle. For ex:- A car which is never driven say for months or so also may lead to problem in battery, oil flow and life cycle

Please let me know, will ownership cost for honda car will be more for long term for less running in future if any.
what is the actual mileage of honda amaze (petrol&diesel).

I owe a Honda City - Parts & work are real expensive. If i compare it with servicing of Maruti Sx4 or Hyundai Verna - then as a owner for last 7 yr - i will give feedback that i am paying almost 40% higher in spare, part. For ex - Front Suspension replacement in Honda City cost 40K-45K - where as in a car like Sx4 / Verna - it ranges at around 25K - 30K

However - the fun, pep, quality of Engine with smoother drive in Honda cars - is what you will miss in Maruti or Hyundai - So net off for a car owner perspective - if even have to spend 40000 - 50000 more on maintenance costs in life cycle against Maruti & Hyundai - but the Engine Quality & ride is unmatched - i will still choose Honda

Honda Amaze Diesel is giving around 17 Kmpl in city like Delhi and around 13-13.5 in Petrol, the mileage tends to improve - if your drive on highway or in lesser traffic conditions

Should I go for Grand I 10

It all depends - Grand I10 Asta Option comes almost at same price of Honda Amaze Ex MT - though both cars have almost similar powerful engine under pick up (been power to body weight distribution is almost similar), equal mileage, almost similar seating comfort. But Grand I10 has slight edge in lower maintenance and fully loaded features with ABS, Airbags, Rear AC Vents, Cooled Glove Box, 2 Din Music System, Steering Control and much more. Even interiors of Amaze seems subdued against Grand I10 - which we feel has more to it

Honda Amaze however has edge - been considered more premium brand as social influencer, bigger body looks, bigger boot space and slight more refined drive in I-Vtec Engine
