Hi All,
I am owning a yellow board car which was attached in Uber from past one year. Car was bought in April 2016 and Karnataka Registration, just one year and few months old. Now incentives are very less in Uber and OlA, so i though to convert it to White Number. I checked with a local agent and googled and came to know that i can not convert it to White board before years from purchase date in Karnataka. My question is -->
Can i transfer this to different state and can i convert it to a whiteboard number after paying life time tax and registration. I belong to Uttarakhand, so this thought came in my mind. I will do the state transfer and there in uttarakhand i can register the same car for personal use for my family usage. Is this possible what i am thinking?

In case of re-registration too
> If the vehicle is financed, then you need to foreclose loan first before getting state transfer NOC
> the vehicle can first be registered under commercial usage only - after submission of all documents
> pre-hand check if the clause of 3 years commercial usage is there or not. As to the best of our info - most of the states have clause of minimum 2 yrs / 3 yrs lock in period before which the commercial car can not be transferred to private
Now in case of re-registration - it may be a possibility that date of re-registration will be counted as the first date in Uttarakhand and again your car will be bound in lock in period for another 2 yrs / 3 yrs (as what the state specific law on same is there).

I converted my private vehicle to yellow plate as its first registration is 2015 ,and tax AMT paid at that time,and now can I again convert to white plate ,will it be possible ,or should I have to pay again life tax to rto ,pls give me the reply

I am planning to buy innova crysta 2017 model yellow board which has run for Infosys company and has a outstanding loan amount of 4lkahs approx. Wat will be the conversion LTT for this vehicle. All documents is available including tax paid insurance and fitness certificate.

To Convert From Yellow Board to White Board their is a waiting period of 3 yrs completion of yellow board vehicle from the date of Registration. Before that don't start the process.
Step 1) Write a letter to STA/RTO for surrendering/cancelling your National or state permit to STA and obtain the endorsement.
Step 2) Fill Form KMV 29 for Conversion/Alteration from yellow board to white Board i.e class of Motor CAB Transport to LMV Private (NT)
Step 3) Get the Fees mark on Form 29 from Data operator and pay the fees at cash counter for Inspection i.e Rs 637 and For RC Smart Card Rs 74.
Step 4) Take your vehicle for Inspection along with Challan and all the valid documents Insurance, Tax Paid till date, Pollution Certificate, Original RC , Endorsement of Cancellation of Permit (NOC),Fitness certificate.
Step 5) Once the Inspection got completed submitted the file for Form T - 14 for Life Time Road Tax mark the road tax pay the road tax at cash counter, LLT will be a depreciated value i.e for 12 years.
Step 6) Once you pay LLT you will get challan along with the New Number for whiter board, put the number plate pay the challan bring the vehicle for inspection again, this is the final step of Yellow to White board conversion.
Step 7) You will review the RC smart card by courier after one month.

Can anyone please confirm what is the right process of converting yellow board to white board and change the state.
1)Convert the yellow board to white board in the same state and then transfer the car to another state.Is this right way and cheaper.
