Hi
I want to change Tyres of My Renault Duster 2014 Model (85PS RXL with No ABS).Apollo Stock Tyres are brilliant and have done now 57k Kilometers without any trouble.
Cost is not constrain for me. My maximum driving is on Highway’s (60% on highway & 40% City, No Off-roading)
I have finalized the following 4 Tyres please suggest which is the best to use
1. Michelin Latitude Tour HP (102H Rating)-Likes it but confused on what would be new tyre inflation since it has higher load index (OEM load index is 98 and suggested inflation is 29Psi)
2. Michelin Primacy SUV (98H Rating)-Please suggest if its good

While suggesting the best tyre from the above 2 Tyres please consider following points in same order as they are mentioned. (Or any other tyre which you think is best for me as per my driving inputs above and as per below inputs)
1. Braking Grip/Performance should be best
2. Tyre Noise in cabin should be minimum
3. Handling and comfort on high speeds

Thanks

Hello,

Been the load rating is higher in Michelin Latitude - its better if seeking Off road / bad roads / 4x4 driven condition
Been - sidewall and rubber compound is slight stiff as against Primacy - expect relative puncture free and best if seeking off terrain, but on good city roads and highway - due to same - may expect slight bounce as against Michelin Primacy Tyres

For most of Indian Highway and City road conditions - Michelin Primacy is better, and Latitude should be chosen where one seek extreme bad road conditions

The Ride Comfort in Michelin Primacy is what makes it top contender and based on parameters of Handling, Tyre Noise, Braking Comfort - you wont go wrong with Primacy

Hope should help !!

Thanks a lot for your response..
In case if i Go for Michelin Latitude Tour HP, what would be the new air pressure.Since Load index here is 102 as compared to the OEMs recommended 98.With 98 Load Index Renault recommends 29PSI as air pressure
Should i continue with air pressure as 29PSI on Michelin latitude or need different PSI rating.
Can please elaborate on this and suggest.

Hello,

In case Michelin Latitude Tour HP the load index is changed,
Ideal Tyre pressure would be more based on Trial and error

Anything around 27 to 28 psi can be tried up for finding the best. 26 is on lower side - so yes either 27 or 28 psi can be tried
