Resolved Should i buy Annual Maintenance contract in New Car or not

HI , I am a very noob when comes to Cars. Just bought a Tata Tiago, at the delivery they ask me to buy an Annual maintenance contract. At first its sounds quite good to me, as it covers all the wear and tear parts in the car. But then my friends told me a new car not requires that many parts changes, so buying such a package is not very helpful.

But recently i got into an accident and during the repair they again offer me the same package but a bit discounted price, seems their policy have changed. Now after the accident i am a bit frightened and start to consider this again.

Just like some expert opinion here, is this package really worth to buy, they actually provide all the consumable as well including parts. Below is a link for this package :-

Hello,

The tata motors url you have given pertains to Commercial Vehicle
nevertheless, its highly recommended to go in with AMC Maintenance package

Been the fact you already buying a car worth several lakh, buying a prepaid package at 2% to 3% extra cost will give
> Peace of Mind Ownership
> Covers in Cost which otherwise can relate to inflationary factor

Even - Tata Motors now offering in P2P (Promise to Protect plan) which even covers wear & tear items, refer details on - Tata P2P Plan

One more thing - important to be know - the prepaid packages only cover part of scheduled servicing or wear & tear items as mentioned. The incident you referred of car accident will not be covered in any way with these maintenance packages, rather - such incidents are covered under car insurance.

Thanks you very much for the suggestions , that's right I am aware of the accident coverage by insurance only.

I thought to ask as they suggested me for the P2P, but not sure about one thing. When I came there for the second time , I decided to go for the Gold AMC, but the sales person there ask me to go for P2P only , he told me that Gold AMC will cover only for 2 years but P2P can be for 4 years (60k KM). Not sure why he say not to go for Gold AMC, I hope I not get tricked someway, since I still needs to pay for all the consumables like oils and others, but parts and labour cost should be included in P2P.

I hope I made a correct decision to just opt for P2P, but anyway I had no other option being a noob in cars and a sales person personally suggesting that.
