Hi all,
So we have a Santro Xing XS - 2004 (December) model and it's petrol mileage is very low, approximately 10-11 kmpl with AC on. Our usage is about 1800 KMs a month.
Was thinking on getting a CNG kit installed in the car as the running cost will decrease drastically. Now on enquiry, most of the fitting centres say that this car can only get the conventional kit installed, not the sequential kit (as it's an old model).
Should we go for the conventional kits ?
Are they safe ?
What are the cons (pick-up etc.) ?
Any particular brand I should look for ?

Thanks !

Due to recent odd even and government intervention - the demand of CNG Kits has increased
There are many issues in conventional kits in circulation in Delhi / NCR including fake sub-standard kits floating in market. This has even led to ban of CNG Kits Endorsement in Delhi

Also - in recent months (if your car is a delhi registered car) then CNG Kit can not be endorsed as only BS-3 and BS-4 Cars are eligible for CNG Kit Endorsement

Would suggest to put on hold the plan of CNG Kits till the time these kits are taken off market with clear rules.

In mean while for information purpose - refer this article on - Sequential Vs Conventional CNG Kits
