Maruti Suzuki has enabled some hidden Security features in New Generation Cars

• Wagon R
• Swift
• Ignis
• Baleno
• Dzire New Generation
• Ertiga New Generation, XL6
• Brezza, S Cross

for advanced Safety of Car by Customizing Security Alarm, Shock Sensor, Beep Setting along with even Door Settings too. For enabling same - You have to Press Knob on the Right Side of the Instrument Cluster to activate the Features

The Features are

Activating Shock Sensor / Enabling Security Alarm Setting

Once the Knob Pressed you will see Security Setting. In this there you press this right side knob to explore Advanced Security Setting as S1, S2, S3, S4.  Now have to toggle it right to Visit Setting S2 which is for enabling Shock Sensor. Here again have to press Knob for SL1 and activate in by pressing Knob on SL1. This will activate in Shock Sensor and show Success Message

The S3 Setting is the proximity setting for Shock Sensor and you can set this to maximum

While S4 Setting is for Full Blast Sensor Setting. This is not required as otherwise the car alarm system will ping on with full intensity.

• S1 – Anti Theft Security System Setting, do not change

• S2 – Activating Shock Sensor (S2-SL1 will enable the shock sensor, and S2-SL2 will disable the shock sensor. By Default shock sensors are turned off)

• S3 – Sensitivity Setting of Shock Sensor (1 to 15 where 1 is lowest and 15 is highest)

• S4 – Setting for Full Blast Sensor

In case you face issue due to Shock Sensor troubling you as siren blast in when some one plays loud music or during Diwali Festival you can either reduce in Sensitivity setting or disable shock sensor by pressing S2 - SL2 Setting

Customizing Maruti Cars Door Lock Setting (Speed Sensing Door Lock, Beep Sound)

The same way you have to toggle in option of door Setting,

As only the driver side door lock is open or closed (and other doors are not) when pressed in unlock button one time and for opening in other doors (this has to be pressed twice)

You can change this setting by doing D1 – SL1 (where all doors will be unlocked by pressing in remote button)

There are other Door settings also

• D1 – Unlocking all doors by pressing unlock button or only driver side (Default is D1-SL2, you can change to D1-SL1 if you want open all doors by tapping key once only)

• D2 – Speed Sensing Door Lock, do not change it (Default is D1-SL2, if in case speed sensing door lock not working you can change to D1-SL2)

• D3 – Setting for changing door unlock after taking out Ignition Key (If you want to change door Unlock function after taking key out then use D3-SL1)

• D5 – Setting of Beep Sound when Unlocking Doors (Default setting is D5-SL1, if you want to mute Siren then use D5-SL2)

Do Toggle in only those settings which you need to Modify. Incorrectly changing setting may impact the functionality of Car Security System.  

Maruti Car Panic Alarm / Car Locator

If ever you face trouble on road – you can activate in Panic Alarm, where car siren will blast with full intensity for 28 seconds

This can be done by pressing in both lock and unlock button at the same time for around 3 seconds. However - pls note that this work only when the car is locked

Even this car also be used when you are unable to find your car after parking it in parking slot 

No Sound while Locking or Unlocking Car

You can do this by pressing in both Door Lock and Unlock button simultaneously at the same time only once. This will enable in Mute Mode and then can choose in to Lock or Unlock by pressing in that Key

Please note that Mute Mode will be enabled only once and after the required function is done – the car security system will come out of Mute Mode

This is useful is ever want to lock or Unlock car without creating a Beep Noise

Some More Pointers

• Pls note that if Unlock key is pressed and doors opened, if If no door is opened within about 30 seconds then the car will automatically lock in doors again to prevent accidental doors been opened

• Generally, 1 beep comes while Locking Door while 2 Beep will come while Unlocking Door. However, if you lock the doors using Remote Button when the Engine Hood is open, Beep will come 3 Times

• Also, if there was an Intrusion attempt in Car and then you Unlock the Doors, Beep will come 4 Times - indicating that there was an intrusion attempt in the car or some one fiddled with Car Security System
