What is the Star Rating for Hyundai Aura-CNG
I think the list also contain Renault TRIBER also. any reason not add TRIBER in the list?
What is the NCAP rate (for child and adult) of Kushaq with 2 air bag as most of the model of Kushaq have only 2 air bag excluding top model.
i am planning to buy Toyota Glanza, is it a safe car to buy
Its just a gimmick in hindi we call it ( Chochlebazi ) , Please answer few queries if anyone can
1) What is the proof that car which is sent for Global N Cap testing is of the same quality which are sending to customer ??
2) How Global NCAP is considering the Indian condition road ( when it is testing )
3) The speed test on which this crash testing is happening , is it legally allowed to drive at that speed in India ?
4) Crash test should be done also on the basis if you haven't crash the car someone from front with high speed drunken driver hit your car *( that's what major accident happen in india ).
I agree the build quality is important factor while making a decision to buy the car but trusting on GLOBAL N CAP its just like a new trend in which TATA has capitalize.
Dear Cholebaz, They do not take car from the OEM they pick it from the market with own money.
Tu bhaiya baleno hi le le
1) Depends on the manufacturer. Some manufacturer follow double standards and publish safety rating of car manufactured in Europe or US where standards needs to be high. The same car has completely different frame and build quality when manufactured in India. Kia, Nissan, Suzuki are some examples and now Toyota is even following them post collobration with Suzuki. Stelantis, Ford maintains their standard across the globe.
2) Roads are not taken into consideration. Its understood that the roads condition will more or less be the same. Pot holes will not matter much in case of head on collision or side impact.
3) The test is done at 60-70 kmph. So yes, its allowed to drive.
In Lucerne, Switzerland, there is a test facility where you can feel the accdient by sitting in the car and the accident is done at just 10kmph. You will get to feel how it can imoact at 6-7 times the speed.
4) Side impact test is also done.
NCAP is not a gimick. its very serious matter which Indians are being made aware now.
1) Exactly, so the cars which has 5 Star rating could be 3 start when it comes to customer. By that argument a 3 star car would be 1 star when it comes to customer.
2) I don't think its country specific. Having said that I dont think the crash test is done for city drive, its done for National Highway drive so in most cases it almost accurate.
3) Well legally in India its not allowed to ride without helmet or drive drunk, when people are doing this what makes you think that some moron wont drive at the speed even though its not legal. Personally seen accidents within city where the car was going 100 + as you know with in city most places the speed limit is 50 to 60. So be rest assured someone will be driving at even 200 on NH in India.
4) Well is it legally allowed to drive dunk in India . Having said that usually the NCAP test takes all factors into consideration.
Lastly, yup Tata is capitalizing on the fact its 5 star in most category. Just FYI Tata cars were always 5 start from the time of Indica (dont consider Nano). Just that people were not interested in safety as much back then. Now that is one of the priority of India customers.
Is Tata sending heavier vehicle for testing and in Indian market lighter variants are there. It means those are not 5 star which are on Road ????
No
I'm using a Tata punch now and this is my 5th car, undoubtedly it's heavy and very strong built quality. The door thudding and the weight of bonnet lid will reply to your queries.
I don't know whether you use current generation Tata car or not but I am very satisfied with the suspension, stability, safety features, advanced features of my car.
Though I feel that engine power is a bit low considering the size and weight of Tata punch but for normal city driving and little bit of offroading it is acceptable.
What is the crash rating for hyundai venue with 6 airbags in India.
Good Day..,
Let me know the Safety star rating for Hyundai Verna comes with 2 Airbag Systems.
What's is the crash test report of Kia Seltos HTX 2021 [2 airbag]
what is the rating for new i20 sportz 2021 ?
The NCAP rating of Honda City 2020 is for the one with Thailand Specs, made in Thailand. Can the same be applied to India? Though the looks and model are the same could the sheet metal be different?
What do you mean by structure is unstable (for Ford Aspire)?? And how much it affects the safety?? And how is Ford aspire compared to Maruti Brezza in terms of safety and build quality??
It means that Aspire will find it difficult to absorb further shocks at 40% offset crashes at more than 64 km/hr and it should be less safe than cars that remain stable in crash tests done at the same speed. However, safety has a lot of other aspects too and the Aspire is still much better built than most cars made by Maruti, Renault, Kia or Hyundai, and Titanium+ variant has 6 airbags. Maruti Brezza, I guess is the only car from Maruti that has good build quality, it scored 4 stars with 12.51 points for Adult occupant protection while the Aspire scored 3 stars with 10.49 points.
How about Hyundai Aura rating. Does it same as Nios 2 star rating? Does Aura is stable car?
Aura, Exter and Nios same platform so no Aura isn’t safe - in fact all Hyundai and Kia cars loaded with features but from safety they are just next to Maruti cars ie garbage but at least Maruti is upfront telling u their cars are not secure while Hyundai hardly sends car for Global NCAP test
