Teflon Coating

Teflon Coating aka Paint Protection Coating, is a coating on as recommended by Dealers to enhance Paint Life, adds as a protective layer with more Gloss and Shone. Basically, Teflon is a chemical form of synthetic fluoropolymer, which is non sticky and reduces friction on the material applied upon.

Even, it increase the ability of material applied upon to prevent against common problems of corrosion or wear and tear in both high and low temperatures

Teflon Process on Cars as Claimed by Dealers

- Car Surface is Washed and Cleaned Completely

- Then the body is wiped and dried completely

- Later on, the teflon coating is applied on the entire body in lubricate form,

- Once the coating is dried down after 12 - 15 mins. The car is then polished, usually machine polished, aka as Car Buffing.

- It takes anywhere from 30 mins and more for buffing and if done properly, will also help in removing scratches too.

- What is done on name of Teflon coating by most of the workshops, is more like Waxing and Machine Polishing in India. Been Teflon is no longer an Automotive application Product as sold by Chemours and neither by DuPont

- If any Inferior Brand chosen for Paint Protection Coating, then in likely scenario, the coating may even come down with cracks and will even look worse than the original paint on the car

- Been Teflon Name brand is used by Dealerships - they end up with Wax, Polishing or wrap car in a Transparent Film which is not what you paid money For
