You have mentioned that first 3 services of i 20 petrol are labour free cost .But even in 2nd service at about 10000 kms ,dealers workshop are charging good amount of labour on everything like replacement of filters etc and are replacing air/oil filters like items ,which are not supposed to be changed at 10000 Kms as mentioned in manual and service book.Against the cost of Rs 1300 shown for 2nd service ,bill is coming for above Rs 4500 .It appears free service means only free washing of the vehicle three times up to 20000 kms .

I am planning to buy Hyundai i20 car. My preference is Petrol car. Reviews in forums and owner's comments reveal that the i20's petrol engine is under powered. I drive city all week days and sometimes go to highway drive about 200 kms. in my Grand i10 petrol car which gives a good mileage which is intended for city driving.Should I buy i20 diesel car or petrol car for long distance driving? Your advice in this matter will be appreciated.

Petrol I20 is underpowered but its smooth to drive around city. Also the steering is soft which I believe would be same for i20 diesel as well , this causes the vehicle to sway when a hard brakeis applied on a high speed. If you have much of highway driving, I prefer you go with diesel I20.

It would mostly be a suspension or steering rack problem. I faced similar issues too with my 2010 i20.
The suspension replacement can cost up to 40000/- and steering rack and pinion can cost up to 35000/-. Better to sell the vehicle than spending 1 lakh for just these manufacturing defect problems.
Even after replacing the suspension and steering system parts, sounds will still arise after few more years and kms driven. So there's no point replacing the parts for close to 1 lakh rupees.
For time being, you can ask them to replace suspension bushes/yokes and grease all parts along with screw tightenings. If the sound is minor, considering driving till the sound get much worse and unbearable. Sell the car afterward.
All these problems arise once the warranty lapse only.
