Dry Days in 2023. Days on which no Liquor will be Sold by Retail Outlets, Hotel Chains and Restaurants in Delhi, Mumbai, NCR and other Cities in 2023 India
What is a Dry Day?:- When Alcohol Sale / Serving is Ban. There are 3 Types of Dry Days
National Dry Day (^^): Where both Sale of Alcohol by Wine Shops / Liquor Shops/ Serving and /or Sale or Serving of Alcohol by Pubs, Hotels, Restaurants in all forms is Prohibited in all Cities / States of India. India has 3 National Dry Days :- Republic Day, Independence Day and Gandhi Jayanti.
Other Dry Day: But - other than these 3 National Dry Days on other dry days - Sale of Alcohol is banned and thus Liquor Shops are closed, but Hotels, Bars and Restaurants can serve in Alcohol within there premises (unless a Notification came from State Excise department came in for Stopping sale of Alcohol)
State Level Dry Day: Apart from it - Sale of Alcohol / Serving of Alcohol by Pubs. Hotels, Restaurants will also be banned on State Election Day if any in respective States.

where Dry Day will be complete observed in above State on Election Day of Constituency with Sale of Liquor Banned in all Pubs, Hotels and Bars.

Except 26th January, 15th August and 2nd October and Elections as Dry Day in which Alcohol Sale is ban through Retail Shops, Bars and Hotels, but in most of the other dry Days Restaurants, Hotels and Bars are Open can serve in Beer, Whisky etc. May check with Nearby Bar on same.
Surprisingly - Legal Drinking Age Varies in States in India. While Drinking Alcohol is allowed from age of 18 yrs in Goa - same is permitted from age of 25 in Delhi. While - as per Law in Maharashtra (Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur etc) - for alcohol consumption - a person should carry a liquor license obtained from Civil Hospital in Maharashtra.

Highlighting the Election Commission Notification during Polling :-
> No Liquor should be given or distributed at a hotel, eating house, tavern, shop or any other place, public or private, within polling area, during 48 hrs Period
> No liquor shops, hotels, restaurants, clubs and other. establishments selling/serving liquor, shall be permitted to sell/serve liquor to anyone whosoever, on the aforesaid days.
