Here is Kia Carens Official Review Explaiined. Know Positives and Negatives of Kia Carens with Interiors, Exteriors, Safety, Mileage, Performance
Kia Carens (to be pronounced as Kar-ens) is what the first 7 Seater Family Car to be launched in 2022. Here is what can expect from Kia Carens
Seating Comfort and Space Aspect: Kia Carens essentially would be introduced as 7 Seater Car (except top End Luxury Plus Model to be available in both 6 Seater and 7 Seater Choice). The Finest Element of Kia Carens is Space. Here are some observations
From Seating Comfort Perspective - Kia Carens offers Impressive Cabin Space and Comfort
Boot Space: Boot Space with all 3 Rows up (expected in range of 150 to 180 Litre), while if 3rd Row been flat can expect Boot in range of 450 to 480 Litre.
Engine Performance: Kia Carens Offered in 3 Engine Options
I Experienced in 1.4 GDI Petrol and 1.5 Litre Diesel Engine and here are my Observations
1.4 Litre GDI Petrol Engine: Available in Multi Mode - Kia Carens Turbo Petrol is Powerful Engine which can be known for Refinement, Superior Mid Range Performance with a great Punch for enthusiasts when driven in Sports Mode.
Although when driven in relaxed way in day to day city use in drive model - some amount of lag felt till 1800 RPM (when car automatically upshift gear in DCT Transmission) but floor in acclerator - you can immediate feel in surged Power with a great Mid Range Performance
Engine feels super silent with cabin has good sound insulation. Good all Round Visibility, Near Perfect Calibrated Steering (with good amount of weight gained on higher speed)
Although yes from Fuel Efficiency Perspective - Mileage would be relative low - anything in between 9 to 10 Kmpl in City condition should be a reasonable expectation, while on highway 14 to 15 Kmpl should be called good Drive
1.5 Litre Diesel Engine: Although on Papers looks like smaller diesel Engine as against Counterpart 7 Seater Cars like Innova, Harrier, Safari, XUV700 but this 1.5 Litre Diesel Engine as what experienced in
To View - this is one of the most refined Diesel Engines we have in the segment and despite of Diesel you may at times feel like Refinement of Petrol Engines in NVH Levels
If you are a driving Enthusiasts and seek Lower Running Cost - Diesel Engine is Ideal and yes care for convenience -Diesel Automatic makes a lot of Sense over 7 Speed DCT Petrol Automatic
Suspension: Will say in one note that Kia Carens Ride Quality is Impressive. Although Kia known for offering Stiffer Suspension in Seltos and Sonet but Carens Suspension tuned towards Comfort and yet remains enough firm which offers stability on higher speed. Despite of 195 mm Ground clearance - body roll is Minimal.
Am sure you will love in Suspension Dynamics of Kia Carens
Brakes: Kia Offering All 4 Disc Brakes and ESP, Traction Control as Standard in Carens. But despite of all - to view Kia Carens Braking Experience felt ordinary as the only disappointment with this car. Had lot of expectations, but brake bite felt quiet ordrinary in Carens.
Styling: Kia is known for Styling Language. LED Headlights, Tiger Nose Front Grille, Long 4540mm in length, 1800 mm in Width and 1708 mm gives it a clean Proportion Looks
16 Inch Alloys looks good, Rear Comes with LED Tail Lights. Overall Proportion of Car is Impressive.
From Interiors - all new Dash Layout, Digital Instrument Cluster, 10.25 Inch Touchscreen with clear resolution with Wireless Android Auto, Apple Car Play along with Bright 2 Tone Navy and Beige Interiors in Top End Luxury Plus offers a bright cabin experience
You can check on Exterior and Interiors with detailed drive review in this video
Safety: Although Kia Carens yes is based on Seltos Platform but comes with improved rigidity and offers Segment Best Standard Safety Specs. You can have
Lifestyle Features: Kia is known for offering Lifestyle Feature rich cabin Experience. You can have
and lot many features as Push Ignition, Cruise Control, Automatic headlight on in Low Visibility, Rear AC Vents, Auto Climate Control, Cooled Cup Holder Option, Ambient Light, Kia Connect, Illuminated Power Window Switches and all

I did some research and understand it has condensation issues, has that been addressed and fixed by Kia yet?
i bought Kia Carens Prestige 1.5 Petrol (naturally aspirated one) engine. Kia provides 15 inch size tyres having specs as 195/65 R15.
I want to Upsize this tyres and want to replace Rims with Alloys.
At first i decided to Upgrade size thats been given in TOp model i.e. 205/65 R16, but when i use the Tyre size Calculator it shows 6 % deviation.
if So then why Kia is violating this Thumb rule principle of upsizing. IF it doesnt than which size is advisable to upsize with in my Carens. 1.5 model (Petrol)
I raised concern with Kia support and many other cities dealers but havent got the proper answer..
Please help me with this..

I have decided to buy prestige plus. I am confused between 1.4 turbo petrol and the diesel engine. Ex-showroom price is same. There is an on-road price difference of 28-30 thousand only. Can you please guide? I am planning to keep the vehicle for 10+ years. Average running of my previous car is about 400km/month. Occasionally need to carry 5-6 passengers. Please guide
