Hyundai Verna gets New Base E Petrol. Priced from 9.02 Lakh

Hyundai Verna gets New Base E Petrol. Priced from 9.02 Lakh

Hyundai Verna now gets Base E Petrol Model as Executive Edition of Car without Music System but with all Standard Safety, Styling, Convenience Features

Hyundai Verna E Petrol

Hyundai India introduced all new Base E Petrol Variant trim of Verna starting at Rs 9.02 Lakh givig opportunity for Prospective Car Owners who believe in customization Preference yet own a Car at lower Price Point.

Essentially, Verna E Trim is similar to S Variant, except cost saved by removing 3 Features

  • No SunGlass Holder
  • No USB Charger in Front (However there is a Power Outlet to charge in Phone and yes also gets USB Charger for Rear Seat Passenger)
  • No Factory Fit Music System (Verna S gets in 8 Inch Touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple Car Play)

Rest is Verna E Model exactly similar to Verna S Model in terms of Styling, Exteriors, Looks, Features and is priced Rs 36,000 lesser in Ex-showroom Price with almost Rs 40,000 On Road Difference

See Verna S Looks which is available with Touchscreen Music System - while no such Touchscreen system is in Verna E Model

Yes, Verna E Model is exclusive to 1.5 Litre Petrol Engine in 6 Speed Manual Transmission only. This Variant basically is an attempt by Hyundai to show Verna as equally Price competitive as its arch Rivals

  • Skoda Rapid - Priced from Rs 7.99 Lakh
  • Maruti Ciaz - Was Priced at Rs 8.32 Lakh
  • Honda City - Now Start from Rs 9.29 Lakh

This led Hyundai India to introduce in Base E Trim in Verna Line up.

Is Hyundai OverCharging for Creta Ex Petrol or Pricing Higher for Verna E Petrol

However, a slight aberration or shocking part of Verna E Model Line up is the Price

Reason - Hyundai Creta Ex Petrol and E Petrol (recently launched model) - also gets same feature differences (Sunglass Holder, Front USB and Touchscreen Music System) and Ex-showroom Price difference is Rs 78,000 in Creta, while the same feature differences in Verna is Rs 38,000

So Question arises - is Creta Ex now been charged higher for such features or Verna E Petrol priced higher.

Because, had this Rs 78,000 Difference followed in Verna, then Verna E Petrol could have started from Rs 8.6 Lakh and that could have made Verna a much attractive price proposition. But Verna E Petrol starts from Rs 9.02 Lakh

So - thats a big question - is Hyundai cashing in opportunity of Higher Demand of Creta Ex by increasing prices considerably ? or priced E Petrol at correct price.

Anyhow, whatever it is - below are features of Hyundai Verna E Petrol Model with On Road Price

Safety: ABS with EBD, Dual Front Airbag, Immobilizer, Seat Belt Pretensioner with Load Limiter, Several Smart Warning Indicators, Impact Sensing Auto Door Unlock, Speed Sensing Auto Door Lock, Anti Theft Alarm System

Superb observation regarding the price differnce Mr.Gagan. Par ki nazar aur nirma super. I had a budget of 10lacks and had considered Creta Petrol EX since it had all basic features. I feel it was very aggresively price and hence Hyundai decided to increase its price steeply by 62000. Since Verna is not selling like hot cakes (Read Creta) hence I think the differnce is less.

I am getting a feeling that upcoming i20 for which I am waiting now will too be priced higher with all its fancy features. That makes 5th Gen City a good deal is what I think.

Do you think 5th Gen City with 30k exchange bonus is a Value Buy ?
