Hello friends,

I have Tata Indica BS3 vehicle which is registered on my name, now i want to sell the vehicle and the buyer is also ready to take, my question is,BS3 vehicle can be again registered with his name, and if we do a transfer of name, is this could be a problem again in future to me.
we are both are from one state only so no interstate registration

Selling Car within same state do not require re-registration
It means Ownership transfer having name, address changed along with rc owner serial number to 2 - rest all details remaining same

Re registration happens when
> The car is moved to a different city within same state
> The car is moved to altogether new state / UT

In case you have found a buyer who resides within same city - then there would not be any impact of BS Emission norms as this does not seek re-registration - been the car registration number will remain same only

For details - refer BS Emission Norms on Used Car

Should help !!

Suggest to get it checked at RTO end.

There been some cases (for sample basis sharing) in Haryana - where despite Buyer and seller within same state Haryana but in different city Panipat and Faridabad - been transfer was not done due to BS Issue

Advisable to cross check with local RTO for a clarification on same
Hope should help !!
