Hi,

I have Lovato sequential kit installed in my 2008 model SX4 in 2014. Lately i have been facing efficiency issue, i noticed that i have been losing almost 60KMS worth of Gas compared to what i have been getting previously on regular route that i have been taking for the past 3 years. I googled and learnt that CNG filter needs to be replaced but my lovato CNG Mechanic informed me that this particular kit doesn't come with filter.

However, he narrowed it down to reducer and his analysis matched with the problem i have been facing like efficiency, power loss and pick up issue. He explained that at CNG station the attendant pours oil in filling nozzle to avoid corrosion and this oil gets accumulated in reducer there by resulting in the issues i have been facing. The Lovato Mechanic serviced the reducer and its been only a day, i can sense that drive is smooth and i was able to clock longer distance with limited GAS in car. I hope somebody can concur my claims.

Some suggested to get Tippet adjusted, throttle body cleaned (i get that cleaned every 3 months w/o removing) and injector clean. Any suggestions.

Most importantly the drive in petrol is very smooth w/o rpm fluctuation.
Issues.
1. Earlier i used to clock 240kms in 8-9kgs of gas refill but these days i can only cover close to 180kms or less. I drive daily for almost 180kms and clock almost 4000kms a month.
2. When i drive out after switching to cng i have faced car stalling few times before i get smooth drive. solution, i drive for few kms in petrol to avoid stalling.
3. The car seems heavy while driving in CNG.

Thanks
