I can give you an estimate, but service costs can vary significantly basis the running pattern, spares or parts changed etc during course
3 Free Services for 10,000 Kms (At interval of 1000 Km, 5000 km & 10,000 Km) Including Engine Oil @ 10,000 Kms, Oil Filter, Air Filter
4th Service - 20,000 Kms or 2 yr whichever comes first - Engine Oil, Oil Filter, Fuel Filter, Brake Oil, Coolant, Wheel Balancing, Tyre Rotation, General repair and Labor
Updated: Note - Gear Transmission Oil Replacement is now @ 1.6 Lakh Kms in New Dzire 2015 onwards
2 Free Service at 10,000 Kms / 6 month (At interval of 1500 Km, 10000 km) - Engine Oil @ 10,000 Kms, Air Filter & Fuel Filter
3rd Free Service - 20,000 Kms or 12 month whichever comes first - Engine Oil, Oil Filter, Fuel Filter, Brake Oil, Clutch Oil, Coolant, Wheel Balancing, Tyre Rotation, General repair and Labor
Then every 10,000 Kms or 12 months
Now here's the difference
> Engine Oil used in Swift Diesel is Synthetic Oil (Mobil One Super 5W/40) - which costs Rs. 2000 approx, while the manufacturer Hyundai recommends Mineral Oil for I20 Diesel, which costs approx Rs. 1500 (including additives in Elite Diesel)
> Second major difference is Diesel Filter - Hyundai Diesel Filter is recommended for change every 20,000 kms in Elite I20 - which cost Rs. 1800 approx - while its recommended for change @ 20,000 kms in Maruti and it costs around Rs. 1350.
> Gear Transmission Oil is not required to be changed before 1.6 Lakh Kms in New Dzire Diesel - While in I20 Crdi - its as 60K Kms - wherein Synthetic Gear Oil is used in 6 Speed Transmission
Thus - on a net off basis (considering Engine Oil & Diesel Filter) - there's not much off a difference. In most other respects - there are also no significant changes seen in Spare Part or Labor Costs of Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai
The further costs of holding car for future years, can vary basis :-
> Wear & Tear Items - Brake Pads Replacement or Cleaning, Clutch Plate, Battery, Tyres, Suspension Components on Longer tem
> Repairs / Accidental Repairs

There are number of factors which impact fuel mileage.
Still for a city like Delhi as base, can expect around 16 to 16.5 Kmpl for Dzire Diesel and around 14 to 14.5 in Hyundai I20 Crdi
Whatever car you choose - still its not bad to know how to get a better mileage,
i am planning to go for elite i20 sportz which was costing me 6.55lac in 2014 and now due to excise duty hike it is costing me 7.07lac. Due to the total price my mind got diverted towards swift dzire vxi because i will be getting a sedan in less than the amount which i am paying for a hatchback.
Though i love to buy elite i20 but i wonder about only one thing that is the mileage of elite i20 petrol as i will be buying a petrol car. can you please let me know what is the avg fuel efficiency of elite i20 petrol as this is the only factor which is not letting me go for i20.
please help me about the average point as i have heard that the average of i20 initially will give 15kmpl but than it will drop to 12kmpl and then in a single digit so please give some review in this point as well
I completely disagree with the admin I own a Hyundai i20crdi asta I use it very rarely 10 kms drive every 2 or 3 days , I regret buying Hyundai once I entered the service centre here they bang you with very high service charge ,
Just to change engine oil they charge you around 600 rupees though the spare parts are a bit coslty the service charges and their poor work skill make you hit them right in the face and yes Suzuki swift is the best option when viewed from the point of reliability quality and maintenance.
i20 is just waste of money The engine in new i20 is a delfi engine which is completely imported so is the cost of i20is more they badge it as premium hatch but it's not ,there is lack of punch in engine it give black smoke like Tata indica does
