Tata Zest Revotron Petrol Ownership Review. 10300 Kms Covered

Tata Zest Revotron Petrol Ownership Review in India. Know what the Owner Feels after driving 10000 Kms in Tata Zest Revotron with Positives and Negatives of the Car

Tata Zest Ownership Review

Long term ownership review:
Model : Revotron XM
In my family : For 6 months now
KMs done : 10300
Overall average : 15 KMPL
Modes driven In : City 65%, Sports 30%, Eco 5%
AC used : Everyday is summers.

Terrains driven: 60% times car has driven on broken country side roads as she is taking it to her work place. 40% times on smooth roads of Punjab.

Review - Positives: I had used Diesels in the past. Diesel means high usage rough and tough diesels not from the strength point of view but from the maintenance point of view including Multiple Indica, Safari 3L, Skoda Fabia and Ford Fiesta. All of the above have given me some wonderful time and some nightmares. This time we thought about to go for a petrol and then afters some research we chose Zest (I am also a hard-core fan of TATA so I wanted to go for it)

So far in the last 6 months car has lived upto our expectations. What I love about the car is the design both exterior and interiors and the driving dynamics. At a cruising speed of 70-90 it just rocks. It drives so smooth and noiseless that it makes you feel special. I love to drive in city mode as it is both a combination of power and torque. In Sports mode it flies but you also feel the engine giving kick and asking you to pull at low speed. Don't like to feed less in Eco mode to a 90ps engine and it also makes it hard to overtake in a hurry.

As per other areas are concerned, I like the Harman music. Corner stability at higher speed is good and so is breaking. I don't mind mileage a lot because in that case I would have gone for a Nano . I also love the leg room and head room it offers.

Review - Negatives: Some drawbacks are there too. First is the jerky gear that vibrates like you are in a cheap car. Second is the suspension that is great and does its job efficiently but on bad roads you can feel the vibration and tick tick sound in the cabin. Slight Noisier, next is lack of Cup holders.

Overall, I am satisfied much satisfied with the car and would definitely recommend to others.

Second Owner Review on Tata Zest

Greetings from Barmer, Rajasthan !!

Model: Tata Zest XT Revotron Petrol

I am enjoying the drive of Tata Zest XT (RT- Turbo Petrol)car since last 3 months and would like to share some observations that may help the readers and car enthusiasts.

- Distance clocked above 9000 KM.

- Driven 70% highway and 30% in semi-urban traffic mostly in Eco mode (I prefer sedate drive of 90 KMPH in Eco mode. City mode is used only in heavy city traffic and hilly terrain whereas Sport mode is used occasionally on 4/6 lane highways between Udaipur- Ajmer- Jaipur to cruise over 110 KMPH), with Good and bad road drive ratio is 50:50.

- Mileage ranges between 19-26 with an overall figure of 21 KMPL for 9042 KM which is not much behind of my Tata Nano's 26 KMPL.

- Its pleasing cockpit design, great music system, effective climate control and very comfortable seating added to its silent cabin is a boon for riders.

- Only concern is an undetected (couldn't detected by 3 service center) dashboard rattle which emerges on pebbled and rough roads.

As per news of many autoportals Tata might set Bolt for "Commerical Only" vehicle.

Is it a chnave that after the launch of Kite5 somewhere in Diwali as it is predocted, Tata might put Zest on the same path of Bolt?
