Hyundai Xcent Ownership Review

Based on your opinion and guidance, I had purchased Hyundai Xcent - S (Option) - Petrol Model.

Pickup & Performance: So far it has been less than 2 years, and the car performance has been phenomenal. I love the features the model provides in this range. Usually, the pick up is amazing, however you can feel that you are driving a compact sedan. The urgent pick up is not as strong as a Honda City or other powerful cars. But that is why it is not in the same category of Sedans.

Mileage: The most important factor for Indian - the car average is much better as compared to Hyundai vehicles. For highway drive with AC an minimum average of 12 to 15 kmpl is what you can expect. Just once while driving on national highway, I got an average of around 17 to 18 kmpl. In normal city conditions in summers one can expect the average to fall arnd 10 kmpl.

Sound Insulation, Space: The car performance in highway is more enjoyable as compared to city drive. Best part is you would not know that ignition is on, when you are standing still at a place. Coming to noise cancellation, the car scores better than its competitors in same range. As rightly mentioned by you the car is a perfectly fitted for 4 adults and a kid. Another plus point is the boot space is phenomenal.

CNG Fitment: I came to know that Hyundai has given the approval for retro-fitment of CNG kit from its approved dealer. I need to know the performance of car post this retro fitment.

Service / Repair: So far touch wood, I have not seen any major repairs. And the service centre team nearby my place does a good job. I stongly recommend this car for people, whole look for performance with styling/looks and brilliant features. I am a proud owner of Hyundai Xcent car.

Overall Review: Recommended for Purchase

Thanks for sharing in the review

For CNG - Hyundai India Offering Sequential CNG Kit which is based on Dual ECU Technology - so that the car performance is Optimized
Under it - there are 4 Injectors, Separate ECU and tested Coupler based wiring Harness
As claimed - Under Dual ECU - The quantity of CNG required for different driving conditions is controlled by the dedicated ECU, leading to more efficient fuel usage. Other than Maruti Factory Fit CNG Kits - its Hyundai Certified CEV Sequential Kits - which are at par reliable. Even - Coil Springs are replaced to taken on additional weight.

Only downside is the costing part which is approx rs 65K - 67K - almost 30K more than the open market, but with assurance and reliability - its the best bet for Conversion. In terms of mileage - can safely expect 30% hike in Mileage (compared to Petrol) and that too on CNG - making lower running costs

Hope should help !!
